The PubAid quiz was tough but everyone survived …. even our long-suffering Quizmaster!
A great turn out of nine teams: Standing Orders, Boff’s Boffins, Brain Drain, Freddie’s F***wits, Room For Improvement, Clifford Clangers, Chase Young Farmers, The No Hopers, and The Titanics.
With half the entry fee designated as prize money and half going to charity we expected to raise £45, but our winners, The Titanics also kindly donated their winnings – so that’s £90 raised for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The initiative as a whole involved over 1400 pubs of which over 1000 have yet to declare their results, but more than £48,000 has been declared as raised already. The total is updating by the minute and can be found on the PubAid’s World’s Biggest Quiz webpage.
A big thank you to all of you for turning out despite the arrival of Storm Imogen..
At 7.30pm on Sunday 7 February 2016, thousands of quizzers will simultaneously answer the first in a series of questions in the World’s Biggest Quiz.
Organised by Pubaid, supported by JustGiving, the aim of the evening is to raise money for local causes and charities.
Our entry fee is £10/Team of 4 – half going to prize money and half going to our nominated charity: Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Be here and ready to answer the first question at 7:30pm!

The Classic Bike & Car Club stand at the NEC on 14-15 November 2015 .
Club members put on an excellent display of their classic bikes – all polished and shiny and looking their best – the bikes that is.
The Club meets at The Clifford Arms for a drink and maybe a bite to eat on the first Tuesday of the Month and generally organise a ride out for the second Saturday of the Month.
And no they haven’t been just scribbling on the banner – those are autographs that they have obtained by meeting their idols at shows over the years.
